I believe that helping people succeed is the best way to help organizations succeed, and that people perform best in an atmosphere of positive energy. I’ve been through some challenges, including the struggles of the auto industry at Ford in the ‘90s, the aftermath of the bribery scandal at the Salt Lake Olympic Committee, the banking crisis of 2008 at Wachovia, both sides of corporate mergers and reorgs, running a dotcom, and navigating through the coronavirus pandemic. In 2018 I met Phillip Lanier and joined his small but awesome erosion control company called PandTL as their first CFO. We sold PandTL to a private equity firm five years later, and I unfortunately saw the commitment to a winning team with a strong culture erode day by day under the new ownership. I have now reunited with Phillip to bring our commitment to culture and winning to other small businesses through this new thing we started called Lanier Solutions Group. I have a BA and MBA, I have an amazing wife and four incredible kids, I have decades of experience with large corporations, I have lived the experience of growing and selling a small business, and I have learned from the struggles of the PE firm that acquired PandTL. Our goal at Premier Yacht Solutions is to leverage all of this combined experience to bring value and solutions to boat owners.
